  • Additional Information

Newspaperwood is a timber like material derived from recycled newspaper. As they state on their website “NewspaperWood reverses a traditional production process; not from wood to paper, but from (news)paper to wood.”

The unique material is manufactured by laminating multiple layers of newspaper to a desired thickness or shape. This technique creates a wood grain-like effect that resembles the growth rings of traditional timber.

The wood can be used like traditional timber, and examples of use are in furniture and as a laminated surface.

The innovative material is a fantastic circular product as it is derived from an existing waste stream. The material is also able to be recycled at end of life. The adhesive used the create the product is free of solvents and plasticisers, enabling it to enter existing waste paper recycling streams.
