BioPBS (Polybutylene succinate) is a revolutionary new bioplastic that is both bio-based and biodegradable. The material is derived from natural resources such as sugarcane, cassava and corn. Afterlife bioPBS, has the ability to decompose in either the natural environment or compost systems.

The environmentally friendly material is food-safe, making it ideal for use in food containers and single-use packaging. Typicall uses for the material include cups, boxes, utensils and cups as it can withstand up to 100°C.

BioPBS can be used in a range of manufacturing processes including extrusion coating, blown film extrusion, paper coating and injection moulding. The product can be printed on and is also available in a range of various grades.

The material also holds a range of compliance certification for both food safety and biodegradability.
