Cork

  • Product Details
  • Additional Information

Cork is a natural, renewable, and recyclable material that is derived from the bark of the Cork Oak Tree. It is a fantastic circular material as it can be harvested directly from the tree without the need to cut it down. This process has no negative impacts, sequesters carbon and allows the tree to regenerate new cork after it has been harvested.

Cork has been traditionally used as the stopper on bottles for centuries but it is also used in many other applications like pinboards, furniture, instrument components and sporting equipment.

Cork also has the unique ability to be both biodegradable and also recyclable.

The typical lifecycle of recycled cork involves initial use in the food industry, and then use in non-food based applications after recycling.
