Abaca is a natural leaf fibre from the Abaca plant. It is a close relative to the banana plant and has been designated as a Future Fiber by the Food and Agriculture (FAO) organization of the united nations.

The fibres are high in strength, resist saltwater and are beige in colour. Abaca has been used for a long time in the shipping industry but recently it has been making a return as a textile.

You can find abaca clothing, curtains, paper and screens.
Completely biodegradable as it is a natural fibre.
