Yulex® CC - Closed Cell
Yulex®CC is a plant-based closed-cell foam that can be used as a replacement for neoprene. The circular material is a low-density foam made from natural rubber that is stretchy and soft.
The closed-cell foam is water-resistant and is perfect for water sports, waterproof footwear and similar gear where water intrusion is unwanted.
Yulex®CC is produced from dry solid natural rubber. It is FSC certified, purified and refined, carbon-neutral, biodegradable and sustainable.
The material is an ideal circular replacement for neoprene. It is excellent in water applications as it delivers both buoyancy and insulation to keep you warm in cold water.
Yulex®CC can be used in a number of manufacturing techniques such as:
- Die and kiss-cutting
- Laser cutting
- Knife, scissor or blade cutting
- Edge glueing (we always recommend water-based adhesives)
- Seam sewing and sealing
