YiTiles
YiTiles are ceramic tiles made from ceramic waste. The innovative circular material is an excellent closed-loop example as the tile can be recycled back into its own production process.
YiTiles are designed to lower carbon emissions as compared to traditional building products. These tiles are lighter, stronger and use less energy to manufacture. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and can be used in paving, walls, tabletops, etc.
Production Process
The tiles developed by YiDesign, are created by utilizing the large amounts of waste tiles from the building industry. The tiles are collected, sorted and then mixed with a binder to create their range of beautiful colours.
The company YiDesign has developed its own unique binding compound, which allows the tiles to be made from 90%+ recycled ceramic waste.
YiDesign is an R&D company whose mission is to solve the ceramic waste management problem as well as produce green, sustainable, circular products that can be used in architecture, art and commercial products.
