YiBrick
YiBricks are bricks made from recycled ceramics. As the production of cement is polluting, the circular material is designed to be made by utilising a waste stream and without cement.
YiDesign has found this perfect formula by collecting, researching, crushing, smashing, mixing and lab testing various ceramics. Hence, along with being an excellent example of a closed-loop product, the abstinence from cement makes it a non-polluter as well.
YiBricks are designed to lower carbon emissions as compared to traditional building products. These bricks are lighter, stronger and use less energy to manufacture. They are ideal for the construction of buildings and pavements.
Production Process
The bricks developed by YiDesign, are created by utilizing the large amounts of disposed ceramics from the building industry. The bricks are collected, sorted and then mixed with a binder to create a range of shades and colours that can be tailor-made to suit your needs.
The unique binding component of YiDesign allows the recycling of 77 kg of ceramic waste per square meter.
YiDesign is an R&D company whose mission is to solve the ceramic waste management problem as well as produce green, sustainable, circular products that can be used in architecture, art and commercial products.
