Flaxstic™

Flaxstic™ Flaxstic is a bioplastic developed by Open Mind Developments. The innovative material which is a combination of flax straw and biopolymers is biodegradable, renewable, and compostable. Flaxstic is created using biopolymers that are environmentally and socially sustainable, and they are derived from annual renewable non-food sourced crops. The flax straw used is also derived from the waste of local farmers.

The material is used by Open Mind Developments product company Pelacase, who use the material for phone cases, watch bands along with other miscellaneous products.
