Bio-PA
(Polyamide)
Bio-PA (Polyamide) is a bio-based non-biodegradable bioplastic. It is derived from sebacic acid found in naturally produced castor oil.
The plastic performs as per traditional oil fossil-based PA, with the only difference being the original feedstock is sourced from a bio-based renewable resource. Bio-PA is not biodegradable like other bioplastics, but it can be recycled alongside other plastic waste.
Common uses for Bio-PA include electronics components, automotive components and sports equipment.
Circular Features
Raw Material
Bio-Pa is derived from a natural renewable source (castor oil) compared to traditional fossil fuel-based PA.
Afterlife Plan
Bio-PA can be recycled just the same as traditional PA.
