F-Abric
F-ABRIC is a natural textile blend made from bast fibres like hemp, flax and modal. The circular material corresponds to Product Class I of the Oeko-Tex® Standard.
Production process
The cultivated plants of bast fibres are harvested and converted into fibres. These fibres undergo processing to form fabrics that are all-natural. The traditional textile methods like sewing then transform this fabric into market-ready products.
Material properties
F-ABRIC is an in-house product of FREITAG. It is made of 100% natural bast fibres like hemp, flax & modal. The garments, including the labels, shirt buttons and other components, are designed to be fully biodegradable from scratch.
Circular features
The supply chain of F-ABRIC has low emissions as the raw materials are all grown in European soil. The journey from fibre to finished product is just a short trip as all of the production stages take place within a 2500-kilometer radius of the factory in Zurich. The fabric is non-toxic since few chemicals are used during the cultivation of the plant and its processing. F-ABRIC also corresponds to Product Class I of the Oeko-Tex® Standard
